Um, excuse me, why didn’t I catch these guys during the 10 years I lived in San Diego? The Drowning Men are fuckin’ rad. Love the vox, love keyboards, love the guitars, love the drums, and I absolutely love their style. They have a very raw indie sound that can rock your soul and even throw you into a magical loop of just beautiful music.
Their short instrumental “Oracle Meets The Weeping Willow,” off their latest album “The Beheading Of The Song Bird”, is so creepy-beautiful. With delicate, yet haunting piano [...]
Check out Spoon’s new video for “Written in Reverse” off their new album “Transference.” The video is shot in classic black and white and looks amazingly sleek and sick. Apparently the boys shot it all in front of a big-ass mirror! You can’t get any more “written in reverse” than that. Peep the video and check out their tour dates below!

Propaganda pop artist, Ron English, globally know for his vivid popular brand imagery and advertising pieces of work, will be at Medicine Agency in San Francisco to release the first jigsaw puzzle in a series for ToTT Global. Last week, the Medicine Agency and ToTT Global featured Mike Giant’s “Rollin’ High Dice Game” release party. The goods sold out and the party was fun shit!
Be sure to cruise by the Medicine Agency on Saturday, Dec. 12. Ron will be signing autographs and we will be selling a bunch of his [...]
Whoa! These shorts are pretty weird but super cool. Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros have gone beyond the traditional concept of a music video with an ambitious project entitled SALVO!, a feature-length movie musical split into 12 visually striking segments. In the first, “Desert Song,” singer (and former Ima Robot frontman) Alex Ebert confronts his father in a desert wasteland, followed by a series of hallucinations. Rad!
Check both clips, “Desert Song” and the newest release, “Kisses Over Babylon” at Spinner.com.
Good vibes and good people! Looks like the book release party for “A Heartbeat and a Guitar – Johnny Cash and the Making of Bitter Tears,” was quite the extravaganza this past Thursday, Nov. 5 at the Make Out Room in San Francisco. With legendary rock photographer, Jim Marshall up in the mix, many of the attendees including our photographer, Kara, were stoked to be in his presence. The man has seen and shot it all.
The evening was full of awesome happenings. Author, Antonino D’Ambrosio read passages from his new [...]
