Torche 715

Miami’s Torche will be performing at The Troubadour on Saturday, May 18. Described as creating sludge metal sounds, the band composed of Steve Brooks (Lead vocals, Guitar), Jonathan Nuñez (Bass), Rick Smith (Drums), and Andrew Elstner (Vocals, Guitar), released their third album, Harmonicraft, last year, which made Stereogum’s Top 50 Albums list. Check out the band’s website for a FREE download of their song “Kicking” from the album. These guys have previously opened up for Coheed and Cambria in 2010 and with Converge back in October of last year, at the Echoplex and Glasshouse. Although we would love to see bassist Jonathan Nuñez  headbanging with some long luscious hair, his bare-skinned head is enough to get our hearts pumping. Now, they’ll be headlining with supporting acts from Kenmode and Totimoshi, so make sure to catch them!

Tickets to the show are $14, doors open at 8PM, and the event is all ages. You can win a pair of tickets with us by entering the contest below, courtesy of the Troubadour and Grimy Goods.
