Michael Franti & Spearhead put on a beautiful performance, from beginning-to-end at the Hollywood Park this past Friday. Before it started you could easily distinguish the audience in the racetrack by their tie-dye outfits, sun flowers and loving peace signs. Franti’s music was full of joy and positive messages that could be felt with his infectious stage presence. He walked barefooted, danced with the disabled, the kids and much of the crowd. The instrumentation of lively sound was fantastic and his crew of talented musicians made it sound like one voice. At the end, he got off the stage and in his usual way and went to greet the crowd spreading this insatiable joyful vibe throughout the venue.
If there’s anything to say about this show, it was ridiculously sweet.
