Los Angeles local, Chelsea Wolfe has released an incredible cover of Nick Cave’s “I Let Love In.” It’s haunting, morbid and absolutely beautiful. With almost six minutes of spellbinding words that you can barely make out, Wolfe’s rendition still strikes an emotional chord. There’s so much mystery and an unusual sensuality to her croon that immediately sends chills down your spine.
Chelsea is performing at Freak City on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 11 p.m. with some very special guests you won’t want to miss! Her sophomore LP “Ἀποκάλυψις” (Apokalypsis) is out now via Pendu Sound Recordings (released in Aug. 2011).
