While listening to the Soft Moon you can’t help but feel like you’re in a hazy room at an 80’s post punk club where scene kids array before their experimental rock deity as they sway from side-to-side in a hypnotic trance. In fact, you may find yourself moving in such a manner at one of their shows, either that or dancing like the late and great, Ian Curtis with his famed spazmatic-like shuffles. The Soft Moon are something not of the ordinary and will reel you in with their sonic and visual mystery. Their music is hauntingly dark and bellows with heavy bass guitar riffs and hypnotic synth melodies. With whispering vocals paired with drawn out melodic build ups and chaotic spurts of madness, The Soft Moon will engage you with their “post-apocalyptic” radness. These guys are some out-of-this word shit that you need to get hip to, stat.

The Soft Moon will be playing SXSW! If you’re going, be sure to catch them at one of the following showcases: Terrorbird Media & Force Field PR Day Party, Primavera Sound Showcase, Austin Museum of Art, Stereogum Party, Mexican Summer Party and Pitchfork Showcase.
