If you haven’t gotten hip to both Baths and Braids, you need to. Both of these hot new bands were listed on our Best Debut Albums of 2010 list and are some serious talent you should keep an on eye on. Lucky for Los Angeles both Baths and Braids will be playing a show at the Troubadour on March 5, 2011. Tickets are only $12 and are open to all ages. You can purchase your tickets via Ticketfly here. Also performing with Baths and Braids will be UK produce/beat maker, Star Slinger.

About the bands:

Baths (aka Will Wiesenfeld) is one of LA’s hottest acts and is quickly taking over the indie beat scene with his eccentric lo-fi beats, sounds, samples and rhythms. Just barley of legal drinking age, this budding producer is well on his way to creating some more dope experiments in 2011, solo and with others.

Braids are a four-piece hailing from Montreal, Canada with a beautiful sound exploding with emotion fueled by font-woman Raphaelle Strandell-Preston and the band’s gorgeous arrangements. Preston’s voice is seriously lovely, paired with the band’s luscious and dreamy instrumentation, Braids deliver some amazing harmony mixed in with some fiery build-ups and breaks. Take a close listen to Preston’s whispering vocals and you’ll fall in love with her tales of lust and wanting that all comes off so innocent (and totally adorbs).
