Montreal indie rockers, Stars, put on quite the beautiful show this past Sunday, November 13 at the Glass House in Pomona. Stars couldn’t have been paired with better supporting acts. Both The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and Geographer were absolutely gorgeous complementing Stars with their eloquent musings of lovely indie pop.

With each member of Stars also taking reign as a member of former label mates, Broken Social Scene, Stars shares that same lush instrumentation and soaring vocal quality but on a more tight knit scale. Stars exudes a sweet intimate sound that shines with a delicate tone through the combination of vocalists Torquil Campbell and Amy Millan. Their back-and-forth duets are candy to your ears and were even more special on this evening as Millan revealed she was expecting a baby. This might be the reason for Millan’s extra glow; she was absolutely radiant with every step. Needless to say, Campbell was also quite on fire. Maybe it’s due to his dueling acting career but the man owns so much vivid stage presence with each word that rolls out his mouth. He is truly a delightful vision to watch live.
