Enchanting songstress, Victoria Bergsman, former lead singer for the Concretes, performed a lovely show for her solo project Taken By Trees. Opening up for El Perro Del Mar at The Troubadour last week, it was quite a magical set with beautiful orchestrations of sound radiating from her talented band. With fantasy-world like keys, tambourines, and a whimsical flute fluid enough to wake a cobra out of a basket, Taken By Trees also plays with exotic tribalesque percussion and alluring guitar lines. All these magical sounds dancing next to Bergsman’s vocals create a more than lovely sonic setting of pure musical indulgence.
