KaiserCartel
Check out this dreamy folk band straight out of Brooklyn. KaiserCartel, a sweet indie duo made up of a Courtney Kaiser and Benjamin Cartel. If you separate the two combined last names, that so smoothly make the name of their band, KaiserCartel, you get Kaiser Cartel. I think it reads better and makes them sound pretty bad ass, like some German alliance of hitmen. Roky Erickson Halloween Photos
I know I lagged on putting these photos up, but here they are nonetheless (vid too!). As expected Roky was absolutely amazing to see perform live, as were The Black Angels. They played so well alongside Roky and complemented the music and style that makes Roky who he is, with ease. The Black Angels’ Alex Mass, played that electric jug as though it were straight out of an original “You’re Gonna Miss Me” performance. The show was epic, enough said.

I remeber I had this song on my Myspace profile a couple years ago: “Whole Wide World” by Wreckless Eric. No surprise, but most of you probably have never even heard of him. If you’ve ever seen “Stranger Than Fiction,” Will Farrel does a really sweet rendition.
